W. John Hansch is Managing Partner of Hansch Financial Group, overseeing operations of the company’s San Diego area office in Del Mar Heights. With 30 years of financial advisory experience leveraging a MBA in Finance and Marketing. John specializes in Values-Based Financial Planning™ and wealth management services.

Beyond offering financial services to families, retired couples, widows, executives, and business owners, John is a sought after speaker. He has taught seminars and workshops on successful money management, financial strategies for successful retirement, and estate planning. A proponent of education, he founded the South Orange County CPA Forum, a continuing education program for CPAs. He currently offers quarterly continuing education breakfast workshops to CPAs, attorneys, and other centers of influence in Rancho Santa Fe.

John holds securities registrations 6, 7, 22, and 63 through Independent Financial Group, as well as his California insurance license (CA #0710553) and a California Real Estate Broker license (CA #00787795). He received a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of the Pacific and a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Marketing from San Diego State University. 

Outside of the office, John is actively involved in his San Diego community. He is past Chairman of the President’s Council for the La Jolla Institute for Allergy & Immunology, where he also serves as a Member of the Planned Giving Advisory Council. He is also a member of the Rancho Santa Fe Rotary and a member (and former Board member) of the San Diego chapter of the Financial Planning Association. During his service as the Director of Community Relations at the Monarch Beach Sunrise Rotary in Orange County, he received the Service Above Self award.

John is a long-time resident of Rancho Santa Fe, where he is raising two active sons. He enjoyed participating in the YMCA Indian Guides program and has coached youth soccer, basketball, and baseball teams. In his free time, he lives life like a true Californian, playing golf, surfing, and skiing.
